Pack up a picnic dinner or some of your favorite munchies and join us for an evening of running-themed movies.

Time:    6:00 pm - BBQ/Potluck begins

              7:00 pm – Movies begin

Details:

We’ll have the BBQ going by 6:00 if you’d like to grill. The club will provide the condiments needed to fix up your hot dogs/hamburgers, along with plates, napkins, etc.  We’ll also have ice-tea, lemonade, & water. 

Other drinks are BYOB (but we’ll have coolers on hand to keep them cold).   Feel free to bring a side-dish, snack item, or dessert to share if you’d like to join in the potluck.

The movies will be shown outside with lawn seating.  Bring your folding chairs, blankets and enjoy our backyard movie night with your family and friends.

7pm - Runners High	Each year a program called Students Run Oakland sign up more than 50 participants who commit to training for the Los Angeles marathon. This documentary focuses on four kids, who each find themselves struggling with all the emotions of being young while training for what seems like an impossible goal. Fortunately, there are outstanding coaches to guide them along the way.

9pm -   Unbroken	An epic drama that follows the incredible life of Olympian and war hero Louis "Louie" Zamperini who, along with two other crewmen, survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII - only to be caught by the Japanese navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
