Girls on the Run coaches are trained volunteers who lead a team of participants through a 10-week season of powerful and fun lessons. Coaches receive all the tools and support they need and find that they get as much out of coaching as they give. Sites are located throughout the Greater Charlotte area so you can choose a location and practice times that work for you. Season Details - Fall Season 2026

You will coach boys through exercise and fun activities, which will help them learn how to express themselves, reach personal goals, and improve their overall wellness. Let Me Run lesson plans, including “Real Men Show their Feelings, Everyday Heroes, and Getting to Know You,” prepare boys for the long run by encouraging full expression of their individual feelings. Plus, you will instruct the boys on proper running form and correct stretching techniques. At the end of the 7-week program, you and your team will celebrate your hard work with a 5K road race. | Achilles Charlotte Volunteers work alongside Achilles' athletes and support them while they accomplish their fitness goals. While their general responsibility is to accompany runners with disabilities during the course of a workout or race, on any given day an Achilles volunteer will function as a member’s guide and motivator. Ask any Achilles volunteer why they do it, and you’ll hear the same answer: they get back as much as they give, and more. What Achilles Volunteers Do
